Dubai Longevity Authority: what clinics must prepare

Law No. 17 of 2026 and what a clinic can do while permit requirements are published.

What has been established

Law No. 17 of 2026 established the Dubai Longevity Authority. It requires a permit from the Authority for defined longevity activities in the Emirate, including in free zones such as DIFC. The Authority's strategy was approved in September 2026.

Permit categories and requirements are still being set. This guide will be updated as the Authority publishes them.

What a clinic can prepare now

Until the requirements are published, the useful work is the governance a longevity regulator is likely to examine:

  • Give one named person ownership of Dubai Longevity Authority publications.
  • Map which of your services may fall within its scope.
  • Confirm your facility licensing route with DHA or your free-zone authority and your advisers.
  • Make sure every clinician is licensed and privileged for the services they will deliver.
  • Write down how you judge, and explain to patients, the strength of evidence for each test and intervention.
  • Cover longevity-specific issues in consent: evidence level, data and genetic information, and costs.
  • Have promotional and social media content approved in line with DHA standards for medical advertising on social media.

How The Clinic Standard helps

We help clinics build the governance, policies, team structure and patient communication that a longevity regulator is likely to examine, so you are prepared as requirements are published. We do not provide legal advice or submit permit applications, and we work alongside your legal and PRO advisers.
